Results that count quotes reward the interviewee who talks most. Results that count people reward the truth.
In a round of five interviews, one person will talk twice as much as the others. They are generous, they are articulate, and they will give you fifteen quotable claims where everyone else gave you five.
If your results count quotes, that person is now 40% of your evidence. Any theme they care about rises to the top. You will leave the round believing something that one person told you.
A theme in Narrera is ranked by the number of distinct people who gave a 4 or a 5 for it. Fifteen quotes from Aisha about Monday no-shows count once. One quote each from Aisha, Ben and Grace count three times. "3 of 5 people" is the headline, and clicking it shows the three.
None of this means the talkative person is wrong. Their fifteen quotes are kept, scored and visible. They just do not vote fifteen times.
A survey with forty responses can have three long-text answers from the same office manager. They are one source. Narrera matches responses to people and counts accordingly.
The denominator matters as much as the number. "3 of 5" and "3 of 40" are different findings. Narrera always shows both.
